Happenings - 3/2/26

If you were not able to make the Lodge Meeting last week, you missed quite a show! Littleton's ritual team joined us to perform our initiation ritual, as well as the long form opening and closing of the lodge meeting. A big thanks to them, it was quite a sight to see!

Our meeting saw the formal election of the 2026-2027 Elk Year officers, officially elected:

  • Exalted Ruler: Ben Brooks
  • Esteemed Leading Knight: Sam Vance
  • Esteemed Loyal Knight: Josie Chacon
  • Esteemed Lecturing Knight: Melody Fairchild
  • Secretary: Jim Luckow
  • Treasurer: Jerry Zarret
  • One Year Trustee: Leah Colby
  • Three Year Trustee: Ellen Headrick
  • Four Year Trustee: Dennis Meierhofer
  • Five Year Trustee: Mike SanClements

Please RSVP to attend (bring your family!) the Officer Installation Ceremony which will be happening March 28th, at 5:00pm. We will be performing the ceremony for all to see, as well as having dinner and live music. RSVP here.

Elk year starts April 1st, which is when our new officers will ‘start’.

The Return of Brunch

We've heard you, brunch is making its triumphant return to the lodge, starting with Easter Brunch on Sunday April 5th! We will plan on hosting brunches monthly on the first Sunday of the month after that. We ask that you RSVP for Easter Brunch as soon as you can, more details and RSVP, here.

(Note: we will have options for vegan, and gluten-free eaters. As always, if you have a dietary restriction which makes it hard for you to attend our meals, please hit reply and share how we can accommodate!)

Sign Ups to Help

Our lodge is open weekly on Tuesday & Thursday from 9:30am - 4:00pm, and during this time Eddie could use some help from her Elks team. Specifically, we are looking for individuals to come in and help check in/out medical equipment, do some filing, or other odds and ends around the office. If you are interested in helping, please sign up here.

Interested in helping in other ways? We are all for it, just hit reply and let us know what you are looking to help with, here are some things we could use help with:

  • A/V systems: we have multiple speaker jacks, speakers, and mixers all throughout, but we could use someone who would like to play around, label, write up instructions, and get them going! This is a big request for events, and it would be great to get the systems working agian.
  • HVAC Mechanical: our Lodge Room furnace is not working, and our go to maintenance guy (Ben) cannot sort this one out, he’d love some help.
  • Door Magicians: are you good with fixing doors, closers, crash bars, hinges? We would love to get all the doors working agian.
  • Painting: yeah we need painting, schedule this with Ben so we can have the paint on hand!
  • And much more…

Food & Beverage Requests

Have a dinner request? Wish we stocked something you love? We can't promise to accommodate everyone, but we certainly want to know how we can improve! Fill out a quick survey here and tell us more.

Pool Hiring

It feels like summer and our Pool Manager, Paul, is taking applications for summer pool staffing. Find out more, here.

Pool Fundraising Update

Fun fact, most people learn about our lodge because of our amazing pool. It's quite an asset, and I am told one of two remaining high dives left in the area. We are also the only pool which opens for free to all who would like on Friday evenings. Even the "city" pools are paid entry until you get far outside of Boulder.

Your donations help keep the pool safe, fun, and clean — not to mention, free on Friday evenings.

If you’ve been thinking about donating, now is the time to jump in — whether it’s $75, $100, or $250, it all counts:

YOU CAN DONATE HERE!

Thank you all again for your support.

Suggestions and feedback are welcomed, just hit reply and send it on over.
